Yael, I just want to say how much I love this piece. Thank you. You are right on every point you bring up. There is no amount of self care, self love, patience, nor readiness that enables us to find our person. And being in relationship is what we were made for. Being single is not natural for humans. We were made for community, for lovers, for friendships, and so much more that we will never experience in one lifetime thanks to the dominance-loving ideology that we continue to buy into.

You are right. Real relationships are so much joy smeared with shit here and there. The compromise and growth is either worth it to us, or it’s not. And it’s not allowed to be one sided. That’s too much shit for me!
