I am with you. The word has been corrupted and thus, means nothing. I cannot identify as a feminist, because NO ONE agrees with what the hell it means, unless you are in an academic setting, where OPINIONS don't matter. Studying feminist theology has been the most liberating experience of my life, due to having unblurred lines...real definitions. Womanism is where I found my soul, however. Indeed, people can SAY whatever they want. They can think they are feminists, demanding equality. But, what lens are they reading life through? If they are subscribing to traditional patriarchal thinking in any form, then they aren't seeing clearly. Shit...this is a real problem!
