What made him think it was okay to touch me?

And his girlfriend followed suit.

Last weekend was my sweet son’s wedding. It was perfect. We are all exhausted and half of us are sick, but still, it was perfect.

The only part that was hard was the fact that I had to see my ex and his stupid little girlfriend; the typical 50-something and 30-something relationship. She is a Sandra Bullock look alike. Short, no curves, athletic, brunette, spunky, never been married, no kids, all about herself and her freedom. She is the opposite of me in every way possible. But she is not so different than him…he acted like he was hardly married and forgot he had kids a long time ago.

He was invited because my son felt obligated to invite him. Not because anyone wanted him there. I hate that. I cannot say how much I hate that.

He walked into the wedding rehearsal and stood about 20 feet away, to my left in Superman pose, hands on hips, elbows out. Typical. Owning his space, like always.

After the wedding party went into the sanctuary, he walked toward me. I was standing alone. There was no mistaking as to where he was headed.

I didn’t look at him. He stopped next to me on the right, his hand held onto my upper arm, softly.
