I want to start this by saying that, yes, I know women have NEVER been safe. After all that has happened in the world with justice and feminism, women are still unsafe. And our most vile predator is men. Thus this story is complex and complicated, filled with mixed feelings, righteous indignation, and longing for safety…for everyone.
