Well, in the end, we cannot control our adult children. I, however, homeschooled my children and am very very close with them. As they mature, they have become my best of friends in many ways. I am lucky, though. The crazy sacrifice I made to stay home with them, work 3 part time jobs and scrimp with coins from the couch has paid off. But, there are many moms out there going it totally alone, without grandparents and a good social network. We CANNOT raise children on our own. It is too much to expect one person to do. We don't expect to have to, either. But, it gets dumped on us, as mothers, so often. Men get this too, just less often. Does that make sense? I appreciate your words!!
