Very true. I keep encouraging men to tell their stories. I hope they do. My partner writes sometimes, and I know it's good for him. There is so much unprocessed pain out there and it comes through in dysfunction and anger. Compassion and understanding are the only ways forward. We don't have to be male to understand their pain. I don't want to be male. But I want healing. I want a partner who will do the inner work. I want my women friends' partners to do the same. And many are. I have amazing men friends who have lots to say...but they haven't yet found a way to talk about "real" things yet. It's too easy to talk about sports, kids, and other shop talk. Vulnerability is something we allow once we've been given permission. And I want to continuously give men permission to heal.
