This is perfect! I was with you all the way until the very end. She should not feel bad about "dragging" him down with her. That is on him. The story is incredibly accurate, however. So often, we need someone to help release us from the relationship/marriage we are in and have been dedicated to for many years.

To view that person as a gift takes time, but they are, even if they mis-stepped in every way possible and never even left their relationship/marriage.
