This is perfect. If they would only consider it. Maybe she wouldn’t be so afraid to talk about hard things, the difficulties of life and relationships that are inherent in a marrige. Maybe5 she would trust you to respond like a adult: respectful and kind, generous and loving. You are supposed to feel these things for her in the first place. And it is likely she forgets if you have been stonewalling her.

The problem with this whole stonewalling thing is that it drives women’s neurological system crazy. As a wife and mother of 4 I was constantly trying to solve the issues we were dealing with-logistical, financial, or emotional. To be shut down during any of these inquiries was damaging. After decades, my body began to respond with numbness, tremors, and other nervous system problem. No wonder so many women are medicated. There is no mystery as to why men get away with calling women crazy. They create it…then they fail to deal with it…and usually leave, causing more problems as well…never cleaning up their messes.
