The Role of the “Yeller”

Lately, life has been really, really challenging. I’ve had the ex refuse to sign the deed at the bank, had to call the cops on the ex-boyfriend, my dad be a little “not helpful” about cosigning on my house, and a load of all kinds of last-minute BS.

Everything is supposed to be tied up with a bow on Tuesday, next week, with this messier-than-hell divorce. I’m almost holding my breath. Who knew it was going to almost kill me to offload the narcissist husband? I was never, ever going to be prepared for that. Then during the mess, I decided to fall in love with a man with BPD, borderline personality disorder. Of course, he wasn’t diagnosed until one plus years into our relationship. Right?

Today, I am going to write about my “Yeller”. She is my sister-in-law, one of my best friends, brutally honest, firey, fun, and a royal pain in the ass (meant in the most loving way possible).

These past few years, detoxing and reconstructing from excruciatingly painful and unjust divorce proceedings, she has played a defined and very important part in my life-The Yeller.

Yes, before, we played and had fun with our kids. Lots of game nights, food, swim days, and such. But things changed dramatically three years ago when my ex, (her former friend)…
