For a man to understand that dismissal is unethical and immoral is a first step in healing this incredibly painful wound. Most of us, women, have this gaping, seeping wound...this tall tale of our being too demanding and too controlling.

And yet, we have been blown off, dismissed, talked down to, and effectively silenced our entire lives. Yes, this is truth. And thank you for mentioning this is not about feminism. If men could see that, they might be a little more open to listening. Deeply embedded sexism is just as real of a toxic trait as racism.
