Thank you for this. Your words speak truth to me at the deepest level. Our vertical power structures are not helpful, no matter who is at the top. I am a born leader, but do not want to be at the "top", whatever that means. Collaboration, connections, conversations...these are what build successful businesses and children, for that matter.
Supporting men, while still young, is essential. Like you, I have thought long and hard about what this looks like and where I have seen this successfully accomplished. And, to be truthful, I have seen it best done in the farming community of the Midwest, where men work hard, with their children. They are taught to respect for women and the earth, and end up being amazing father, many of them. I will keep thinking about where else I see this, but I think, as a culture, we are at a loss when we search for places our men are properly supported. God knows its not in being coached in sports, especially when that child is taught so much relies on there success on the field...no more there. Thanks so much for this!
