Thank you for this! Years and years of therapy have helped me to identify 4 out of 6 of these. As an oldest child, to pacify and please came naturally. Also, as that oldest child, there was no room for my anxiety. How many times was I told, "It's all in your head"? I highlighted the bit about our reactions to our childhoods being seen in our parenting. That is something I was really careful about. To take the good stuff (which there was plenty) and try to do better with the challenging, was really hard, but so rewarding. Of course, I messed a million other things up, but we can only do as well as we can. Bringing more awareness to this is so important. It really is the only way we can heal traumas and not repeat them. Thank you!
