Thank you for sharing these stories. It is so validating and helpful for those of us who are still finding our voices, after having left our marriages. I didn't leave because I didn't know I was allowed. I thought my family might disown me. I thought my church friends would also shun me. I thought I would never find my financial footing.

However, my family totally got it...a long time before I did. My church friends are still my friends. And I will find my footing someday. It will take some time, but I will, someday.

I think money is a real reason most women don't leave. We give up so much when we marry and have children, often, and we don't have the time or energy to recover later in our lives.
