Oh, Curtis, what an incredibly difficult journey you've been on with your family. I am so sad to hear it. But you are right on all counts. The last time allegations we raised against my childhood family friend, I talked to his mother and suggested that they immediately get psych evals on the girls who were making the accusations. I know how trauma works. I know how memory works...well enough. And our entire community knew that one of these girls was molested as a child because she and her mother put her father behind bars. However...just because justice is served doesn't mean there has been healing. Our healing must happen on our own time, with our own energy.
