My heart breaks for you. I cannot imagine. I'm in a class right now that is addressing toxic religiousity and trauma around spirituality and how dangerous religious life can be. I am assuming you are Catholic. I grew up Mormon. There is a lot to unpack there if we are to heal from what we were taught life was supposed to be contrasting with what it actually was.
