It’s all relative. He’s not wealthy compared to many, However, for us….as a couple…he would be considered wealthy. During the time of the divorce, he got a really big raise at the University and move to a different department where he would be paid almost double. For most of our marriage before that, we lived below the poverty line, with all of my earnings being under-the-table earnings. I taught lessons, baked and cooked for people, did farmers markets, you name it. Erase flowers and vegetables for sale, and raise chickens as well. He walked away with all of it. I didn’t even get a portion of his retirement. Good question.
