I found out about this from Klara Jane Holloway, Thanks! I’m tagging Daniella Montage and Yael Wolfe, just in case they have time to do this…by the 6th of January! Love you, ladies!

I Was Once an Angel

There was once a lover

who showed me beauty.

His beauty, my beauty, the world’s beauty.

Nothing existed that did not hold exquisite beauty.

His vision of me

was one of an angel, a goddess-

who could soften hearts, open minds, give grace.

And love, holding nothing back.

Her wings were powerful,

Bringing fierce nurturing and safety.

Her gift was to lift others up and soothe their long-endured fears.

And to give it, for her, it was as easy as breathing.

In his presence, the angel floated,

barely skimming the ground at times.

She could see no, could hear no, could do no wrong.

The world was finally safe. She was safe.

His vision of the angel was a gift to her.

Only to be opened once,

And never again.

To be seen, truly seen, and loved.

For just a moment in time

I was an angel.

And I loved her,

Like I’d never loved her before.

No context comes with this and for good reason. It is simply the dream every woman has. And perhaps every man as well. And its a gorgeous dream.
