I think you are right on every point. We are, as a society, not really interested in justice. I had no idea this was true until my divorce. Thank you for sharing some of your story. I feel it deeply! You are not a machine. I felt like that for the 25 plus years I was married and it broke my body. Now...I have so much less to work with.

It does hurt. So much. But gratitude helps. It's not the end all. But it helps. I have so very much to be grateful for as well. We are warm and safe enough. The village is pretty well intact and there is enough love. It's not what I want. But it's a good place to start. Blessings, dear Samuel.
