I think, for me, the benefit is that life looks as it should from the outside. You have the husband who looks like he has his shit together. You have children you are raising and people you are raising them together (but you aren't). You have the looks of things as they should be, even if they aren't. The benefit is the ability to hold only hope, in this scenario, that things will eventually be as they should be. Even if it takes a miracle.
