I had no intention of stigmatizing anyone. I apologize. However, I do not believe there is anything genetic about NPD except that a child mirrors a parent. Enabling children, doting on them, making life ALL ABOUT THEM…these are serious problems. Mama’s little prince and Daddy’s little princess are the result of this. I trust that you know much more about this. I apologize for offending you. However, this is my experience and also what I see happening to our children. Whether it causes NPD or not, it is a real problem. What is serious abuse to one person is not for another. I’d love for you to address this in the context of your above words. As an HSP, what traumatizes me may not traumatize another. I don’t think there is a magic formula for any particular diagnosis.
