I get that. My ex had the permission and ability to take everything due to having academics, judges, and lawyers as friends. He's not stupid. But he's definitely vindictive and manipulative. So the vengeance makes sense. What doesn't make sense is that no one ever called him out nor talked any sense into him. Lots of pieces to that puzzle, to be sure...
