I am so happy to hear that! But...it doesn't even take that. My marriage therapist did a great job of helping me felt seen and heard, having read all of the books he suggested and learned the techniques already. We talked openly and honestly in the appointments, but we also left with assignments...as we should. Most of those had to do with my now-ex reading things (he had never read a book about relationships before...let alone marriage or parenting) and us discussing them. Every time we left an appointment-I lasted only 3-he raged about how we were there because of me and the therapist "apparently did not see that our marriage was falling apart due to my actions" and "was an idiot".

The appointment was fine and even good, but the aftermath was horrendous. So, there is only so much a therapist can do when working with narcissists. There was only so much I could do as well...and that was leave.

Thanks for this article!! Fantastic!
