It’s nice to meet you. I’m a mom and nature lover, but more than that, I love the nature inside myself and how that has fed all of the other parts of me.
My favorite places at home are in the barn, in the gardens, and under the silver maples. Taking deep breaths of country air is my everyday medicine.

I love my kids, but more than that, I love what will remain when they spread their wings and fly; the creation of a more whole and complex person. I have spent my life being loved by good people. My naivety-because of that two-sided coin-got me married at age 19, caused deep dive into mental illness that made no sense, until it did, at age 42.

I love looking at life as a set of transitions and noticing all of the ways I have been taught by pain. What did the pain teach me about myself and the others around me? Pain has been my greatest teacher. The force of love that has emerged into my consciousness because of it is something I would never give up.

Now, at age 47, I am in my first year of the seminary. The course is Christian in nature, but I am an Interfaith Warrior at heart. I have a lot to learn, a lot of listening to do, but will write my way through.

You are welcome to follow along, my friend.
